MELBOURNE’S property market seems to be gathering momentum, although in some sectors the competition is already there.
From 890 reported auctions, the clearance rate was 66 per cent last week.
Craig Stephens from Jas H Stephens said the market was generally still ‘‘finding its feet’’.
However, he said 95 Williamstown Road in Seddon sold for $ 661,000 — $ 51,000 above its top price quote, and it attracted six bidders, despite being on a main road.
