Buyer Advocates, said that, while being the highest bidder was important, it was equally important not to give the impression you’re “Mr Moneybags”.
“If you are the highest bidder and the agent tries to push you higher with a second vendor bid over your last bid, you should not be tempted to offer more,” Ms Cashmore said.
“A buyer should not be fooled into thinking the agent won’t deal with them because they vendor bid over his or her genuine bid — he will.”
